Weathered

I got this solid oak chest on CL a few weeks ago.  It needed all of the drawer bottoms replaced and my husband had to totally re-build the bottom drawer.  It needed a little more work than I would have liked, but I really liked the size and shape of it and the fact that it was old!  I love old stuff. :)  I thought about stripping and re staining the top, but after painting it first I liked that look better. I was going for the vintage farm house look.  I even found a key at an antique store that works on the drawers.  It's actually a little more brown than it looks in the pictures.  I used ASCP in Old White as a base coat, then painted CeCe Caldwell's Seattle Mist (which is my new favorite color) on top, sanded down, and sealed with wax.  Seattle Mist is a really pretty gray/brown.
