Union Jack Console

Update 5/29/14
I am switching out this piece for another in my daughter's room, so it is now for sale.

48"W x 24"H x 18"D
$250

I'm pretty sure this piece started life as a buffet and somewhere along the way someone cut it's legs off.  It's only 25" high now.  I painted it with 4 colors: Cece Caldwell's Pittsburgh Gray, Annie Sloan's French Linen, Pure White, and Provence. My daughter decided she wanted it for her room instead of the curvy nightstand I painted a while back, so the nightstand is up for sale and this one is going in her room with a mirror over it.

Florence Chest

Sold
50"H x 36"W x 20"D

This piece was really out of my comfort zone!  I am a very neutral person with most of my stuff painted in greys and whites.  I've seen so many pieces painted in Florence and the color looks so rich and deep that I thought I would try it.  I actually mixed a little Provence in with the Florence for this piece.  The top was re-stained in dark walnut and the chest was sealed with clear and dark wax. I have been using it in my daughter's room for the last couple of years unpainted and she decided she wants a dresser I have in the garage.  I like it, but it's a bold color so we'll see how long I can keep it for sale before I re-paint it.  :)

Coco Buffet

Sold
I painted this buffet in AS Coco and used dark and clear wax and the top was re-stained using dark walnut.  The original door was warped, so my husband made door frames that I attached hardware cloth to the inside of.  I also changed out the appliques on either side of the mirror because the original ones were ugly circles.  I also changed out the hardware because I wasn't crazy about what was on it before.  The previous owners were using it as an entertainment center and had drilled a hole in the back which my husband filled with bondo - the stuff works great!  He has used it to build up broken corners on my china cabinet and a dresser drawer.  It can be used with or without the mirror.

I've been bad lately about not getting before pics- can't find one for this one either!

Stripes and Bikes

Sold
42"W x 34"H x 20"D
The second piece of the summer!  Soon the kids will go back to school and maybe I can pick up the pace.  I painted this dresser in American Paint Company's Smoke Signal and added some AS Old White to make the stripes.  The wood veneer on the top was chipping here and there and I was going to remove it, but it wasn't going anywhere.  So I filled with wood filler and was going to paint it.  The wood grain was so pretty that I just went over it with AS dark wax.  You can see where the wood filler was added, but it just give it a little more of that well loved look.  The pulls were some I ordered online several months ago and the bike knobs I found at Hobby Lobby.  It's a  perfect size to use anywhere in the house!

Vintage Bow Front in Old White

Sold
56W x 34H x 20D
Refurbishing furniture takes a lot longer once the kids are out of school!  I may or may not get one more piece done before they start back.  :)  This is a beautiful vintage Dixie 8 drawer bow front dresser painted in Old White, oil rubbed bronze original hardware, and the top has been re-stained in dark walnut.  This would work nicely in a dining room as a buffet, in a bedroom, in a foyer, or could double as a changing table in a nursery!
