My favorite piece so far!

***SOLD***

I love casters and this is my first piece with them.  It makes moving the furniture around so easy and I just like the look of them.  I can't find my before picture, but there is a picture of it  here at the end of the post.  Here are the afters:

I painted this in ASCP's  French Linen (the darker color) the and a mix of Coco, Graphite, and Old White for the stripes (the lighter color) and sealed with clear wax.  The top two drawers had paint splatter or spray paint in them so I also painted the inside of the drawers with French Linen.  I didn't want them to be perfectly painted so I just kind of painted this way and that with the brush and left a little wood showing through here and there.  The top was striped and stained with Minwax dark walnut and 3 coats of satin poly was put over it.  The pinboard was made by transferring graphics from The Graphics Fairy with the Citrisolve method onto drop cloth.  I used spray adhesive to attach the material onto foam board and framed it.

Up next is this Drexel dresser/console/buffet:

  3. I love the stripes & color choice. My husband keeps saying I should paint a piece in that color combination. Maybe I'll give it a tray. Nice Job, Dee

  8. Hi, saw that you are going to work on the Drexel dresser/console/buffet. I was wondering if you knew the name of this Drexel style. I just got a dining room set that is the same style - from the thrift store and am refinishing it. I would love to know the style name so that I can research it. Cheers.
