Old White French Provincial

Sold
73"W x 31 1/2"H x 21D

This may be the cleanest dresser I've ever bought, was solid wood with dovetail drawer joints, and was in almost perfect condition.  It had a couple of scratches and the top needed to be re-stained.  I painted it in Old White, distressed, and sealed with clear wax.  Original hardware was painted with oil rubbed bronze, the top was stripped and re-stained with dark walnut and sealed with Minwax water based oil modified poly which you can use on floors!  This was the first time I tried this poly and loved it - it dries super fast, goes on easily, and sands smooth.  When I went to pick it up, it was on the second floor of a condo and this thing is long!  Fortunately there was a guy that worked at Fedex there to buy something else and was nice enough to help the seller and I maneuver it down 2 narrow flights of stairs.  :)

Petite Duck Egg Cupboard

I wanted this piece to look fresh from the barn.  I put on one coat of Annie Sloan's Duck Egg Blue, distressed, and sealed with clear wax.  I left the inside unfinished.

Provence Dresser

(Sold)
56"W x 21"D x 34"H

My daughter wanted to get rid of her tall chest and put a dresser in her room to match this piece that she is using as a nightstand although a long one.  So I found a curvy dresser on CL that she liked and painted it in Annie Sloan's Provence.  I put one thin coat on the drawers and two coats on the rest, lightly distressed, sealed with clear wax, and painted the original hardware black.

Union Jack Console

Update 5/29/14
I am switching out this piece for another in my daughter's room, so it is now for sale.

48"W x 24"H x 18"D
$250

I'm pretty sure this piece started life as a buffet and somewhere along the way someone cut it's legs off.  It's only 25" high now.  I painted it with 4 colors: Cece Caldwell's Pittsburgh Gray, Annie Sloan's French Linen, Pure White, and Provence. My daughter decided she wanted it for her room instead of the curvy nightstand I painted a while back, so the nightstand is up for sale and this one is going in her room with a mirror over it.

Florence Chest

Sold
50"H x 36"W x 20"D

This piece was really out of my comfort zone!  I am a very neutral person with most of my stuff painted in greys and whites.  I've seen so many pieces painted in Florence and the color looks so rich and deep that I thought I would try it.  I actually mixed a little Provence in with the Florence for this piece.  The top was re-stained in dark walnut and the chest was sealed with clear and dark wax. I have been using it in my daughter's room for the last couple of years unpainted and she decided she wants a dresser I have in the garage.  I like it, but it's a bold color so we'll see how long I can keep it for sale before I re-paint it.  :)
