Weathered French Grey Dresser

Sold
I found this antique chest on CL as a make an offer.  I generally don't respond to those because I just don't have a clue what they are wanting for it, but I had been watching it and it wasn't going anywhere.  I made an offer and he asked if I could pick it up that day - yes I can!  It was a Friday and he and his family were moving to Alaska on Monday.  It belonged to his grandmother and it was being used in his little girl's room.  It didn't have the original hardware and it needed a little wood filler here and there, but it was a beautiful solid piece with great details.  Lucky me.  :)  I painted it with a mix of AS Paris Grey and Graphite and a little Old White at the end.  I found the perfect pulls at Hobby Lobby.

Curvy Union Jack

Sold
30"H x 36"W x 16 1/2"D

Soon after college I was lucky enough to get to live in London for a while with 7 other people from around the world in a 4 bedroom one bathroom flat!  That experience was one of the best times of my life and why I love all things English.  I never get tired seeing the Union Jack on things. I am going to use it in my daughter's room as a bedside table.  It was painted in AS French Linen as a base, then I used Cece Caldwell's Pittsburgh Gray, Simply White, AS Provence, and sealed with clear wax.  I love the combination of gray, white, and blue.

I love that the original finish shows through the paint!

 Awesome original hardware

 Beautiful wood inside the drawers

Not sure what kind of wood it is, but it's solid!

Bow Front Chest in French Linen

Sold
I love this style furniture along with the hardware!  It's simple with pretty lines and just enough detail.  I have painted this one in French Linen which is one of my favorite colors and Graphite on the hardware.  This chest is by Dixie and is solid wood with 4 drawers.  The bottom 2 are quite deep and all work perfectly.

Bow Front in Old Ochre

Sold
This beautiful vintage bow front dresser was painted in AS Old Ochre, lightly distressed and sealed in clear wax.  The top was stripped and re-stained in dark walnut.  The inside of the drawers had old contact paper in them which left a sticky residue.  I tried sanding it out, but that wasn't working so I used mod podge to line them with a vintage print I found at Hobby Lobby.  The print goes nicely with the color of the dresser.  The top two drawers have removable dividers in them.  This would look great in a foyer, as a changing table, in a bedroom, or as a buffet in a dining room.
